Review: (#1-#5, B-) A mixture of character posters and primary designs, these efforts are beautiful in terms of their color usage but they don’t hold enough information to make the film seem genuinely enticing.

Review: (#1, B-) The stop-motion animation isn’t fluid but it’s creative and that might be enough to sell this to the targeted audience; young children. For it to appeal to adults as well, it will need something more universally gripping as a concept rather than the ramshackle one presented in the trailer.

Oscar Prospects:

Although the animated feature slate can often feature obscure selections, this one looks a bit rough to be a nominee.
