Review: (#1, C) The upside down figure is supposed to create anxiety in the viewer, especially in the loss of control of the woman and the dead and dangerous hands that wrap around her. Unfortunately, there’s not much beyond that and as a stand alone design, it’s not nearly as interesting as they think it is. (#2, C+) With a little more depth and the suggestion of a door allowing other things to come through, the film’s premise is well represented in the content though the figures coming around the door flubs the landing of the concept as does the limitation of color usage to traditional horror aesthetics. (#3, C-) Taking the worst element of the prior design, removing most of the detail and leaving something incredibly dull behind is the opposite direction the designers should be going.

Review: (#1, B-) In an attempt to keep a flagging series going, this shift in perspectives to focus on elements of the prior film that need reinvigoration ends up with a lot of recycled ideas that have a brief moment of uniqueness before descending into familiar, underwhelming tropes.
Oscar Prospects:
None.
