Review: (#1, B) Quentin Tarantino’s oeuvre has gone back to the blaxplotation era of cinema enough times that it’s surprising it hasn’t been more frequently emulated. This looks like an attempt to rectify that, even pulling in Kill Bill‘s Vivica A. Fox as a woman who wants her husband dead and enlists her daughters. The revenge elements seem to fit the genre but it struggles a lot trying to convince the audience there’s something unique or intriguing in the telling.
