Review: (#1, C+) It’s a design that requires watching the newest trailer to give it any purpose. It’s then a little more interesting in terms of its white-car background detail and the seeming purpose of the buck. The lettering is also atrocious. It won’t draw eyeballs very well.

Trailer Rating: C+ / B+ / B-

Review: (#1, C+) For an end-of-the-world effort, this trailer limits the tension and destructive elements of the film, which might signal that it’s more of a chamber drama rather than an effects piece. That’s both comforting and alarming.

(#2, B+) The first trailer was a little wonky, but this one presents the premise a little more compellingly and gives the stars a chance to draw the viewer in. A significant improvement that might just make the difference between success and failure.

(#3, B-) The hints at an apocalypse are more subtle here than in the first trailer, which makes it more difficult to get into. The human element also seems to be dialed back a bit. It seems like an unnecessary third bite at the apple.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
