Review: (#1) If its intent was to look creepy, they’ve succeeded. Unfortunately, like the design ultimately feels like an Annabelle rip-off.

(#2) What’s creepiest about this design is that the young girl has no awareness of her doll’s nefarious intentions. Beyond that, there isn’t much to it.

Trailer Rating: B- / B

Review: (#1) The creation of tension in this trailer is solid as it progresses, increasing from the barely registered to the palpable effectively. While the film clearly looks to be a bit unoriginal in places, that shouldn’t impact its box office potential.

(#2) While the first trailer gave us enough information to figure out what’s going on, this trailer does a better job making the action and horror seem more intense, which will only help in drawing an audience, especially with a relatively fresh premise.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
