Review: (#1, C) The spider web motif is an obvious one for a film like this but it’s uninspiringly applied. (#2, B-) Using the more common fractured glass concept for spider webs is an interesting effort and makes this image pop. (#3-#7, C+) With the pops of color and the alternating placement of the spider web shadow, these character posters are certainly striking if overwhelmingly simplistic. (#8-12, C+) Another array of character posters, back to the first design’s web motif, are unique to one another but aren’t as interesting or richly detailed as they could have been (#13, B) An intriguing design with five circles of eyes and a central image that engenders curiosity, this is a solid effort. (#14, C+) A watercoloresque effort that has too few interesting details to embolden the viewer’s interest. (#15, C+) An applaudable attempt to create something interesting, the art isn’t terribly striking and the face feels unnatural and certainly not intentionally. (#16-#20, C) This final batch of character posters is, like the prior set, unique to one another and somewhat striking but also feel entirely hollow and underinspired.

Review: (#1, B) A surprisingly verbose trailer for a first preview. The story is given full attention and the action is enticing. This should do well with fans of the Spider-verse.
