Review: (#1-#2, C+) These two designs have a haunting quality in the broad daylight but neither really seems to match with the trailer, which might make both a challenging sales tool (#3, C) The IMAX design suffers like most with a lot of empty space and little in the foreground to entice. (#4, C) The final overall design doesn’t make much sense other than featuring a dangerous mother standing incautiously on a highway. Not enough to see here.

(#5-#12, B-) These character posters take viewers back to the 1980s and that might be the entire point but their generally identical design with the only variance in the central panel (and the actor/character name above it) makes for an underwhelming series. On top of all that, the taglines vary from cringeworthy to clever. (#13, C) It may have symbolic reference to the film’s premise but it’s overwhelmingly blue, black, and red, all blended together poorly.

Trailer Rating: B- / C-

Review: (#1, B-) A confused narrative plays out in this trailer with the stalking super soldiers engaging in slaughter across the previews lengths while suggesting this mother with military skills can stop them. It has some rather unnerving moments that might generate some intrigue but there’s not enough here to suggest a film with much of a plot.

(#2, C-) A single scene from the film with a familiar shopping-for-weapons concept that does little to explain the film’s concept or its dramatic elements, leaving the viewer confused about what’s going on without intriguing anyone.
