Review: (#1-#2, C+) English and Russian designs are largely the same and while they each tell the viewer some of what the film’s about, it’s somewhat misleading (especially if you pick up the plot from the trailer). Tossing in the ATV in the second design (or perhaps the original design since this comes from Russia) only makes it cheesier.

Review: (#1, C-) Although Japanese anime struggles with matching lip movements in its films, they have improved over the years. The attempt to dub this Russian children’s film into English goes poorly. The syncing is atrocious, which only makes the ludicrous plot less interesting and its familiar tropes don’t have enough originality infused to bring many kids to the theater.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
