Review: (#1, B-) Designed to evoke a sense of 1940s noir aesthetics, this design is surprisingly bright and colorful with poor attempts at using lighting effectively. There aren’t enough details to make the poster stand out beyond its bright, ill-fittingly cheerful aesthetic.

Review: (#1, B) For a lot of people, the return of Brad Bird has been hotly anticipated and on paper, this film looks like a slam dunk neo-noir animated film. Yet, the trailer opts for largely bright colors and apart from the femme fatale, eschews some of the most recognizable elements of noir filmmaking. There’s still promise and hopefully the end product is less vibrant and more compelling but that hope isn’t quite in evidence with this trailer.

Oscar Prospects:

If it’s as good as the other films of director Brad Bird, it should be a contender; however, the trailer doesn’t look promising.
