Review: (#1, C) Perhaps familiar to the video game’s fans but less so to audiences, it’s hard to know if something this simplistic will appeal to many. You can get the idea that it might be a horror film but there isn’t quite enough to this to sell it.

(#2, B-) There’s not a lot to this design and that almost makes it more compelling. Knowing a small amount of the lore of the game helps give this design some salience and since fans are the ones the film wants to entice, it works well. (#3, C+) For fans of the game, this should appeal but it’s a simple effort with few interesting elements and a mediocre color scheme. (#4, C) Similar to the prior but with fewer details and a more ominous backdrop yet still unimpressive.

Review: (#1, C+) The film appears to be far enough into production that many of the monsters and situations are on full display and suggesting this is a direct adaptation of the second video game might not have the excitement generation the producers are hoping for.
