Review: Too much white space in the lower third while the upper has an interesting visual feel to it, making the background shift through four different spaces while singular figures walk through them. An intriguing visual effort.

Review: (#1, B) Recent attempts to lean into the cheesiness of 1970s/80s slasher genres have had mixed success and blending those with the off-the-wall experimental filmmaking trend of the last couple of years, it’s hard to believe this looks as interesting as it does. While it doesn’t tell all of its secrets, there are a few nuggets of inspiration here that suggest it’s trying to tease its winking content (the play on Taryn from A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors), that might build up some measure of clout for a film that otherwise looks like a forgotten relic from video store shelving.

(#2, B) The first trailer gave us little about the film’s plot, building intrigue. This effort tells us a lot more about the plot but refrains from giving too much away while still highlighting its connection to classic ’80s horror films. This certainly is geared towards older horror fans.
