Review: (#1) If all you want the audience to take away from the poster is that it’s a horror set at Thanksgiving, they’ve succeeded. If they wanted something genuinely attractive and compelling, they utterly failed.

(#2) The abandoned streets of a town in midst of celebration speaks well to the film’s time and setting. It’s perhaps a bit too simplistic of an approach, but it’s visually striking nonetheless.

Review: (#1) This should have a lot more appeal since there have been few Thanksgiving-set horror films, but the storyline is poorly conveyed and the horror is a bit tepid.

(#2) The viewer gets less of the horror elements, but more of the story, which makes this one stand out a lot better than the previous trailer. It still looks to be inferior to much of the 1980s horror output, but it certainly looks like it could have some potential.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
