Review: (#1, C) A simplistic design with the cold blue conveying distance and environment and the drabness of the film’s color scheme with the corny flames and embers to denote there’s action in the film. An obvious and underwhelming effort.

(#2-#6, C) Although #2 has a slightly different format than #3, they all still reflect the character poster styles of #3-#6, thus lumping them all together. These dingy, almost colorless designs don’t create as much intrigue as they should, nor does the similarity prompt desire for collection. Let’s also throw out the cinder effects that have become common place in the last many years.

Trailer Rating: C / C+

Review: (#1, C & #2, C+) It’s interesting how the two trailers were released. The second one felt more like a brief tease to the film’s premise, setting up the notion that this is an alternate version of the Robin Hood myth; however, the first one felt like a full fledged trailer going into details about the relationships and situations of the movie. Interestingly, the teaser is more engaging because it presents far less details of what looks to be a somewhat dull and pointlessly violent film.

Oscar Prospects:

The Academy has take a new appreciation of horror though this is horror-adjacent and looks like it might be just outside the Academy’s wheelhouse. That said, it has craft category potential.
