Review: (#1) A compelling setting and a design that doesn’t try too hard to be something it’s not. Everything seems to gel well here. (#2) This puts star Sam Elliott front and center. For his fans, that’s a good thing. For enjoyers of strong poster design, it isn’t.

Review: The quintessential trailer for a film about an aging star looking back over his mistakes and his missed opportunities. It’s not particularly exciting. It isn’t terribly enticing. It is mildly interesting.

Oscar Prospects:

Sam Elliott, one of our longtime, prominent actors, hasn’t had a lot of box office success and very little awards attention. This could be his chance as a faded actor who must reflect on his career and his personal life. It’s the kind of role that picks up early buzz, but which ultimately fades by the year’s end.
