Review: (#1, B) Reminiscent of the poster style of the era the film is set in, the warm colors of the character poses with the cool colors of the backdrop make it all stand out. The stacking of figures is generally well handled as well.

Review: (#1, B-) Centering the narrative around the build up to one particular event takes a great deal of control and energy to make a film looks compelling. Cutting back and forth through time while remaining as linear as possible, this preview ends up feeling a bit boring as a result. The performances are the only element that keeps this one from fading quickly from memory.
