Review: (#1) The constant attempt to focus in on the hair of the characters undercuts the characters themselves and suggests that no one will know what this third film is based on if they don’t do it. The background is mercifully detailed without being trite.

(#2) Twisting the figures together works, but the kaleidoscopic background is all that adds detail. (#3) Not enough details make this design feel a bit vacant even if it speaks well to the film’s premise.

(#4) The red carpet treatment, while fitting, gives up too much space and the kaleidoscopic effect surround the central characters is given too much. It’s a mélange of elements that doesn’t entirely work, even if it attracts the eye.

(#5) A very colorful design that doesn’t tell the viewer anything at all about the film itself, expecting the Trolls title to be sufficient. (#6) It has the dazzling, Kaleidoscopic concept down, the limitation of thematic relevance is disappointing.

Review: (#1) If you’re already a fan of this series, this trailer will give you just enough of a serotonin boost to make the decision to see the movie. However, the premise reveal doesn’t seem nearly as exciting as it should.

(#2) For fans of the franchise, this trailer will do plenty to pique their interests. Hints of solid music, an original song, and an unfortunate need to use star Justin Timberlake’s musical background as a minor inspiration. It might struggle to pull in new fans, though.

(#3) The musical cues become overbearing after awhile. Throw in the cheap puns from prior trailers and a lack of story and you have a trailer that has none of the excitement needed to reach beyond Trolls‘ existing fanbase.
