Review: The design does have a Christmas-like appeal without the green and red often associated with such. An October release date seems poorly chosen. The empty background isn’t particularly evocative and the core image won’t have nearly the impact that’s desired.

Review: While the narrative feels conventional and contrived at times, Meg Ryan is charming and David Duchovny is appealing, making this look like an above-par romantic comedy.

Oscar Prospects:

It’s a shame that Meg Ryan hasn’t been a major presence in almost 30 years. Unfortunately, this doesn’t look like the film to earn her an Oscar nomination.
