Each week, I will be doing a poster game called Identify the Poster. I will take two posters for films from anywhere between 1915 and 2009 and having a little fun. Although I may change up what type of game each week, here are two posters. One is a negative image with all identifiable words (and titles) blacked out. The other is a poster in a foreign language. Your task is to identify each.

To help others not get their guesses ruined, you can put your answer between two []’d spoiler tags. that’s [.spoiler.][./.spoiler.] without the periods.

We’ll start things off with an easy one and a more difficult one. I’ll post the answers on Monday.

    The second one looks like Panic In The Street. Off the top of my head, that is the only Kazan film Widmark, Paul Douglas and Barbara Bel Geddes did together. And, like Kazan’s masterpiece the following year, 1951, it is set in New Orleans.
    Good film, interesting idea for a film noir.

    pretty easy I would say.

    Left: Hitchcock’s “the Birds” – 1963
    Right: Kazan’s “Panic in the streets” – 1950

    Am I right?

    of course the first one is birds…the second one I unfortunately don´t know the english title, only the german( but it´s a film by elia kazan)
