In the wake of Thanksgiving, it’s tough to open a new movie. Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 is the best hope of toppling Zootopia 2 and could well do it with built-in interest.

100 Nights of Hero
Wesley Lovell: A twist on the Arabian Knights stories with a modernist lens could be intriguing.
Pete Patrick: Might be something I’d stream but doesn’t look like anything I’d rush out to see.
Thomas La Tourrette: It shows some glimmers of interest, but not enough to make me dash out to see it.
Five Nights at Freddy’s 2
Wesley Lovell: I didn’t have an interest in the first film but I still like Josh Hutcherson, so maybe one day.
Pete Patrick: Didn’t watch the first five nights, not interested in seeing the second five.
Thomas La Tourrette: I did not see the original and have no desire to see the sequel.

The Limited Slate
Wesley Lovell: Some of these have awards prospects but I’m not interested in them. The only one that looks like it could be intriguing is Reflection in a Dead Diamond.
Pete Patrick: A few maybes, but the only one I’m really looking forward to seeing Rosemead with what is said to be an award-worthy performance by Lucy Liu.
Thomas La Tourrette: The Chronology of Water and Little Trouble Girls have the best reviews of the bunch, but neither has that intriguing of a trailer. None of the films look awful, but none that exciting either.
