The Lego Movie 2 is the follow-up to the incredibly popular The Lego Movie, which opened five years ago to the tune of $69 million. It went on to make $257 million. It has since gained in popularity and should have no problem pulling in more than that topping all other releases.

Wesley Lovell (WL): Liam Neeson’s modern output has seldom looked compelling. This is no different. Peter J. Patrick (PP): Another Liam Neeson revenge thriller, probably no better, no worse than the others. Thomas LaTourette (TL): I am not really into the Liam Neeson revenge movies, but this one looks like it could be more fun than most.

Patrick (PP): I liked the first part, no reason to think I won’t like the second. Thomas LaTourette (TL): The Lego movies are fun but not what the Academy prefers. So look for a big box office success without an Oscar nomination.

Patrick (PP): This week’s horror film doesn’t appear to have anything to distinguish itself from the run of the mill. Thomas LaTourette (TL): Nothing about the trailer makes me want to see this film.

Patrick (PP): Well-reviewed Spanish film from Iran’s Asghar Farhadi looks interesting. Thomas LaTourette (TL): I admire the director, but the film does not look like one of his more interesting pieces.
