This weekend, two new movies challenge reigning champs Spider-Man: No Way Home and Scream. Neither titles seem like save bets to best either older release, but Kings_Daughter will probably do the better of the two.

Individual Commentary:
Wesley Lovell (WL): It looks like a banal fairy tale with little to recommend. Peter J. Patrick (PP): Looks like a hodgepodge of various film styles. Thomas LaTourette (TL): The settings look fake and the acting uninspired, so probably one to miss.

Individual Commentary:
Wesley Lovell (WL): A period western romantic drama that looks a bit tired and unexciting. Peter J. Patrick (PP): Looks a bit more interesting than most of producer Roma Downey’s other Christian melodramas. Thomas LaTourette (TL): The film looks to be too simplistic for the story it is telling.

Individual Commentary:
Wesley Lovell (WL): I’m curious just because she sounds like Celine Dion and mirrors her moves rather effectively. Peter J. Patrick (PP): Sappy looking barely fictionalized biography of Celine Dion. Thomas LaTourette (TL): Actually it looks like it could be a lot of fun.

Individual Commentary:
Wesley Lovell (WL): The trailer provides just enough mystery to make it fascinating, but not enough to make it watchable. Peter J. Patrick (PP): World Wat II set horror film looks almost as bad as star Mickey Rourke’s eye patch. Thomas LaTourette (TL): Another horror film with Nazi overtones, it does nothing for me.
