One new release and it’s a doozy. The last two “chapters” have opened over $20 million, though the third film was a major step down from the second. That could mean that this film is a further step down or a step up. Either way, it will compete with the fourth week of Star Wars: The Last Jedi and the third week of Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, which likely means a third-place finish, though it could surprise as presumably the last chapter in the saga.

Wesley Lovell (WL): This franchise holds no interest for me. Peter J. Patrick (PP): Revolting series even when it had a cast I’d heard of – there’s nothing to see here. Tripp Burton (TB): I’ve never seen any of the Insidious films, and I don’t plan on starting now. Thomas LaTourette (TL): I have not seen or even heard of any of the previous Insidious films, and I have absolutely no desire to see this one.

Wesley Lovell (WL): Might be mildly amusing, but I’m not certain. Peter J. Patrick (PP): Dreadful looking Chinese import just goes to show that idiocy in any language is still just idiocy. Tripp Burton (TB): This looks like it should sweep next year’s Golden Raspberries! Thomas LaTourette (TL): This is trying to be a humorous supernatural thriller, but I am not sure that it will succeed in any of that.
