After a couple of weeks of duds, it’s finally time for the big boys to come out and play. Steven Spielberg returns to one of the most popular franchises in history. It should easily top the box office, but can it top $100 million? Possibly.

WIDE RELEASES

INDIANA JONES AND THE DIAL OF DESTINY

RUBY GILLMAN, TEENAGE KRAKEN

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny

Wesley Lovell: Crystal Skull was such a disappointment that I’m hesitant to give Spielberg another chance.

Peter J. Patrick: It’s getting mixed reviews, but I’ll see it at some point anyway.

Thomas La Tourrette: I will see this though I’m dubious about it. Still it is fun to think of a final Indiana Jones film.

Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken

Wesley Lovell: The animation doesn’t look at that good, but it’s DreamWorks, so it could be better than it seems.

Peter J. Patrick: I have no interest in this.

Thomas La Tourrette: The trailer is cute and perhaps the film will be more than that, but probably not.

LIMITED RELEASES

LOVE GETS A ROOM

PRISONER’S DAUGHTER

UNSEEN

The Limited Slate

Wesley Lovell: While Love Gets a Room and Prisoner’s Daughter have elements that make them seem interesting, the uniqueness of Unseen makes it my must-see pick of the week.

Peter J. Patrick: Love Gets a Room looks interesting, Prisoner’s Daughter somewhat interesting, and Unseen too far out there.

Thomas La Tourrette: Unseen and Love Gets a Room have the possibility of being good, though neither comes across that well in their trailers. Prisoner’s Daughter looks like way too many films that have been already released.
