Godzilla x Kong hopes to be a box office powerhouse but it’s releasing at a time where such event pictures don’t do well. If it’s releasing now and not in the summer, can it really be much of a hit? We’ll see. it will at least be the top new release.

WIDE RELEASES

GODZILLA X KONG: THE NEW EMPIRE

IN THE LAND OF SAINTS AND SINNERS

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire

Wesley Lovell: This franchise petered out too long ago for me to still be interested.

Peter J. Patrick: Not really my thing but it could be fun.

Thomas La Tourrette: I have seen the other films in this series, but they seem to be running low on energy and ideas, though still impressive visual effects.

In the Land of Saints and Sinners

Wesley Lovell: Another Liam Neeson actioner isn’t worth the time.

Peter J. Patrick: Irish thriller looks better than most recent Liam Neeson films.

Thomas La Tourrette: There have just been too many Liam Neeson as avenger movies out there.

LIMITED RELEASES

ASPHALT CITY

A CAT’S LIFE

LA CHIMERA

DOGMAN

THE LISTENER

LOUSY CARTER

WICKED LITTLE LETTERS

The Limited Slate

Wesley Lovell: While there are a lot of films that don’t seem that interesting, The Listener certainly does while La Chimera and Wicked Little Letters have diverting promise.

Peter J. Patrick: They all look strong maybes.

Thomas La Tourrette: Wicked Little Letters looks to be the best of a weak lot, and it may prove a bit thin by the end. The Listener, DogMan, and La Chimera show some promise.
