It seems like the bigger an animated film is at the original box office the better the 3D re-release will do. Although Beauty and the Beast is frequently cited as the better film, it was The Lion King that tore through the box office. I see the lackluster lineup of the last few weeks as evidence that Finding Nemo should have no trouble dominating the box office this time out.
Consensus
Below is a list of what we have come to a general consensus on. The number in parens represents the percentage of our contributors who agree with the statement.
Finding Nemo 3D: If you loved the film and want to see what they can do with 3D, this is your chance. Otherwise, enjoy your DVD copy.
Resident Evil: Retribution: Only die hard fans of the franchise should line up for this one.
The Master: Paul Thomas Anderson’s loose adaptation of the founding of Scientology has drawn strong praise and is very likely one of the year’s major Oscar contenders.

ThoughtsI may not be enamored with the trailer, but I love Paul Thomas Anderson and the film’s getting strong reviews, so seeing it will be a given. |
ThoughtsThe year’s first major Oscar contender to show up in theatres should be a can’t miss event. |
