The Online Film & Television Association today announced the nominees for their 14th Annual Television Awards.

Drama Mad Men, musical Glee and miniseries The Pacific were the lead nominees for this year’s awards. Mad Men and Glee tied for most nominations with 18 each while The Pacific earned 16.

Mad Men was nominated for Best Drama Series alongside Breaking Bad, Dexter, Friday Night Lights, Lost and True Blood. The show also received seven acting nominations for leads Jon Hamm and January Jones; supporting actors John Slattery, Christina Hendricks and Elisabeth Moss; and guest performers Robert Morse and Kiernan Shipka.

Joining Glee in the Best Comedy Series category were The Big Bang Theory, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Modern Family, Nurse Jackie and 30 Rock. In addition to Comedy Series, Glee was also nominated for leads Matthew Morrison and Lea Michele; supporting actors Chris Colfer and Jane Lynch; and guest actors Neil Patrick Harris, Mike O’Malley, Kristin Chenoweth and Idina Menzel.

For Best Motion Picture or Miniseries, The Pacific was nominated with Endgame, Return to Cranford, The Special Relationship, Temple Grandin and You Don’t Know Jack. The miniseries received three acting nominations for leads James Badge Dale and Joe Mazzello and supporting actor Ashton Holmes.

Several Oscar nominees and winners were among this year’s nominations including Glenn Close and Anna Paquin for Lead Actress in a Drama; Beau Bridges and John Lithgow in Drama Series Guest Actor; Sissy Spacek, Lily Tomlin and Debra Winger in Drama Series Guest Actress; Alec Baldwin in Lead Actor in a Comedy; Toni Collette in Comedy Series Lead Actress; Al Pacino in Lead Actor in a Movie or Miniseries; Joan Allen, Judi Dench and Maggie Smith in Movie or Mini Lead Actress; and Susan Sarandon, Imelda Staunton and Brenda Vaccaro in Movie/Mini Supporting Actress.

Other major nomination tallies include Lost and True Blood with 13 nominations each; Return to Cranford with 12; Temple Grandin, 30 Rock and You Don’t Know Jack with 11 each; Modern Family with 10; and Breaking Bad, Nurse Jackie, The Special Relationship and Treme each with 8 nominations.

The Online Film & Television Association is a group of online awards enthusiasts formed to recognize the best in film and television each year. The present awards for Television in July and August and for Film in January and February.

The winners will be announced on Sunday, August 8, 2010.
