Today is the first day of December, and is also the second day of major Precursor announcements (which started Sunday with the Satellite nominees). If you hadn’t noticed the calendar in the right-hand column, then you probably didn’t know all the precursors (even estimated announcement dates) are included in the list. To make things easier, I’m going to (hopefully I remember come January 1), post the calendar in a full post at the beginning of every month to keep the information fresh, but you can always follow the data in the calendar on the right at any time, even if this post gets buried.
So, what’s so big about December? Well, if you look at the calendar, you can tell quite easily. There are nearly 30 precursor awards and/or nominations announcing this month alone. So, keep track of the events and as soon as I have the info, it will be posted here!
Here’s a brief explanation of symbols you may see:
? – This means that I have been unable to confirm a date, but based on last year’s date, this seems most likely.
[N] – This is an announcement of the nominations for this particular award.
[A] – This is an announcement of the winners for this particular award (not all precursors have a nominations)
[O] – This is an Oscar-official event.
Please note that the Large Calendar I posted has been temporarily removed as it was interfering with my feed aggregator. It will return should Events Calendar ever provide a fix.
