Now that the Oscar nominations have come out, it’s time for us to look back at our immediate reaction on who will win the Oscars this year. Being our first predictions, a lot may change as the season progresses, but for right now, considering prevailing winds, this is what we’re thinking.

We didn’t agree on much, unifying only in Supporting Actress (for Anne Hathaway and with Sally Field as runner-up), Adapted Screenplay (for Lincoln), Original Song (for “Skyfall”), Cinematography runner-up (forever bridesmaid Roger Deakins for Skyfall), Visual Effects (for Life of Pi), Best Foreign Language Film (for Amour and with A Royal Affair as runner-up) and Live-Action Short Film runner-up (for Curfew). That’s only five categories we 100% agree on for the winner and four categories where we agree on a runner-up. This is bound to unify as the season progresses, but for now, it looks like we’ll be disagreeing a lot this year.
