These were apparently announced on Dec. 30, but were not and still have not been posted on their own website. Guillermo del Toro’s “fish out of water” fantasy film continues to impress with high nomination tallies during precursor season while Dunkirk underperforms those same metrics. Denis Villeneuve picks up an unexpected Best Director citation, but most of these nominations have been commonplace during awards season.
