The DC Film Critics have bestowed their nominations with Carol and Mad Max: Fury Road earning the most nominations with 7 each, including the gerrymandered Rooney Mara in support for her co-lead role. Brooklyn had a good day, as did The Revenant, which hadn’t gotten a lot of love before today. Spotlight got a Best Film nomination, but only mustered three other nods while its four other competitors did significantly better with none of its actors being nominated in either lead or support. Alicia Vikander, also a sufferer of category fraud, was double-nominated in Best Supporting Actress.
