Not much can be said about this group whose two prior years have barely given us enough information to know much of anything except that their director and foreign film choices in the past haven’t been Oscar nominees. They are at least going to break their dismal record in Best Director this year, though Paul Giamatti is probably not going to carry over and Viola Davis is sure to be mentioned in lead and not support as it was here.
