While the victory of Zero Dark Thirty signals a possible victor over non-nominated Quentin Tarantino, the big news of the night is the Adapted Screenplay win by Chris Terrio for Argo. The film didn’t seem like it had much of a shot with the WGA with the likes of Tony Kushner and David O. Russell in the midst, yet it managed to triumph continuing to show a wide level of support for the film and a suggestion that perhaps it could take the Best Adapted Screenplay award at the Oscars next week.
