Another critics group has selected Get Out as Best Picture of the year, helping it build momentum towards a potential Oscar win. North Carolina has largely selected winners that have been consistently rewarded with the exceptions of Molly’s Game in its tie for Best Adapted Screenplay and Okja for Best Foreign Language Film. Those are those film’s first such wins.
