BigShortThe first physical Paramount screener (Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation was a download). Only one other film left on their awards site to go.

The Big Short

Stars: Steve Carell, Christian Bale, Ryan Gosling, Melissa Leo, Marisa Tomei
Director: Adam McKay
Premise: From IMDb: “Four outsiders in the world of high-finance who predicted the credit and housing bubble collapse of the mid-2000s decide to take on the big banks for their lack of foresight and greed.”
Oscar Chances: Uncertain: Advanced buzz was that it could be an Oscar surprise, but the solid, but not particularly enthusiastic, reviews won’t help the film much. It could still be a sleeper, but as a comedy, it may not be quite what the Academy feels like recognizing.
