The Academy has narrowed the list to seven films and will further winnow the list down to twelve. Lincoln and The Hobbit are sure to be nominees, but what will the third film be? I’m leaning towards Men in Black 3, but if Les Misérables plays better with Oscar voters than it did with critics, it could pick up some momentum thanks to its realistic effects.
