Wesley Lovell: With Inception out of the running and Social Network picking up the prize from the ACE for drama and the other two ACE winners not being nominated, I see little reason why The Social Network shouldn’t pick up this prize. But I won’t ever underestimate a Best Picture contender or a boxing film, so both The Fighter and The King’s Speech have chances to upset.

Peter J. Patrick: The editing doesn’t draw attention to itself, but it’s there.

Tripp Burton: The Social Network managed to hang on last week at the guild awards, and took this prize from competitor The King’s Speech. This should be one of the awards that the film is able to hang onto, especially as the story telling there is the flashiest of all the nominees. If it doesn’t win, look for an upset from The Fighter, if for no other reason than the boxing scenes that the Academy has been impressed with in the past.
