Rating: B
Commentary: A film about advertising at least gets their poster design right. Like our protagonist, here’s a man in front of a wall of TV’s. It sets the viewer’s expectations of a film about television, the noise it produces and how even amongst the snow, we can find a nugget of wisdom, at least that’s the hope of anyone who’s ever stood in front of a television to take in its glories.
Rating: C+
Commentary: Can life be boiled down to simplistic slogans used in advertising campaigns? Madison Avenue would like us to believe that and perhaps there’s something deeply meaningful about using such familiar phrases to boil down the simplicity of living life to the fullest. Unfortunately, even the presence of Bruce Greenwood and Parker Posey can’t elevate what looks to be an uncomplicated premise.
