Commentary: After the promising first film, Iron Man 2 was a disappointing mess of a film. The third film looks like a significant step up with plenty of soul-searching and antagonism making it seem like a darker film than the unnecessarily light second feature. The cheesy closing scene erodes some of the good will of the first portion of the trailer, so we’ll see if they’ve just picked out the most compelling scenes or if the earlier part is more indicative than the latter.
