Rating: B
Commentary: It might sell the drama to Britons, but American audiences won’t be that interested unless they are huge Helen Mirren fans.
Rating: C-
Commentary: I love Mirren’s performance in The Queen and while I might be encouraged to see this film based on that knowledge, nothing in the trailer really gives the audience an impetus to see it. With less than a quarter of the trailer devoted to actual scenes from the play, unless you’re already intimately familiar with the material and its purpose, I can’t imagine this seems that exciting.
