Today’s updates come from the first half of the alphabet. Two new trailers: All Good Things and Cool It; and two new posters: Harry Potter and the Endless Posters (#19 & #20)
ALL GOOD THINGS
Plot Summary: He asked her to marry him. She found out later what he was like. Then she disappeared. Based on the true story of a wealthy real estate family and their involvement in a missing persons case that turns into a murder investigation. Release Date:December 3, 2010
Trailer
Poster
Rating:C Commentary: This trailer doesn’t seem to be highlighting the elements it should to draw an audience. The music is ill-fitting, the scenes paint a picture that’s not terribly involving. And the performances look scarcely enjoyable.
Rating:C+ Commentary: If they had used other colors for the body of the poster, it might have been more interesting. It ends up fairly bland despite featuring a solid tagline and an interesting title bleeding into the lower skyline effect.
Plot Summary: A documentary about Bjorn Lomborg, author of The Skeptical Environmentalist and his ideas for dealing with global warming. Release Date:November 12, 2010

Poster
Rating:C Commentary: The daunting music embodies everything this documentary seems to be preaching against: alarmism. It takes over half the trailer to find out that there may be a handful of opposing viewpoints in the film, but it’s too late to take a lot of what’s presented seriously.
Rating:B- Commentary: The tagline works with the image, but it’s not exactly the kind of poster to draw docu-watchers’ attentions.
HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS, posters #19 & #20
Plot Summary: The first half of the final film in the acclaimed series takes Harry Potter and his friends Ron and Hermione and puts them square into the battle against Voldemart and his resurfaced army as they attempt to bring their new dominion to the world and kill Potter in the process. Release Date:November 19, 2010
Rating:C+ Commentary: The more things change, the more they stay the same. And we have another in the long line of similar posters. Rating:C+ Commentary: And Malfoy makes 20. Another of the series picks up another character poster and this one just adds further to the malaise I’m feeling towards these constant additions.
