Commentary: Poster was a placeholder at the time this post was written. 		Rating: C+ / B-
Commentary: This trailer is surprisingly light on action, trying to remind us a little of who the characters are with some attempts at humor thrown in. It works to a very minor extent, but doesn’t look as interesting a movie as the original feature. / The first movie was an interesting take on Greek mythology. It encouraged me to read the books which I thoroughly enjoyed. Yet, being familiar with the second book, I’m a bit reticent to embrace this movie as it seems like it’s pulling some of the best moments from the book and putting them into the trailer without any concept of how those elements tie together. The over-reliance on funny moments and limitations on action, which are a bit more pumped up from the first trailer, may not bring new audiences to the film and fans of the original may be nonplussed at how long it’s taken to get here. They should be reminded of The Golden Compass which never went anywhere and the seeming death of the Chronicles of Narnia franchise and realize getting a film at ANY point in the future is a positive sign.
