Tim Burton failed miserably with his reboot of the series, but going back into the history of the franchise and creating a prequel? Well, it has potential.

Commentary: I’m compelled by the thoughtful nature of the film, though the action-oriented elements lead me to believe that the film isn’t going to be nearly as pensive as it should be. 		Rating: C-
Commentary: Too much wasted space. I like that it’s narrowly focused, but I can’t really see much of excitement here that would make it more than a passable sales tool.

    I don’t mind the negative space at all.

    It’s just a strange poster because the ape seems contemplative, biding his time. It’s an interesting choice. I think it deserves better than a “C-“.
