On Wednesdays, we preview all of the upcoming new wide and limited releases hitting the theaters the coming weekend. On Fridays, we’ll now tell you what you should see. We pose two questions each week to our contributors and their responses are posted below.

Wesley Lovell

1. Which of the three new wide releases would you choose to recommend above the others?
Neither of the week’s likely top two new release grossers appeal to me, so I give my vote to Paul, a film that looks like it could at least be fun.
2. Are there any limited release features this week that you would recommend (and why)?
While I certainly recommend Win Win, I think Cracks might be an interesting little film as might Desert Flower be.

Peter J. Patrick

1. Which of the three new wide releases would you choose to recommend above the others?
For the first time this year we have three films opening in wide release, all of which seem to be worth a look. I would see any and all of them if I had the time.
2. Are there any limited release features this week that you would recommend (and why)?
Two. Win Win is the latest film from Thomas McCarthy (The Station Agent) and appears to be one of his best. The Music Never Stopped is the first film for a director whose resume includes producing Two-Family House, one of the more interesting independent films of recent years.

Tripp Burton

1. Which of the three new wide releases would you choose to recommend above the others?
The Lincoln Lawyer looks the most solid, but they can all probably wait until DVD.
2. Are there any limited release features this week that you would recommend (and why)?
Win Win looks like the most solid bet, and is probably the best film being released this week.

Wes Huizar

1. Which of the three new wide releases would you choose to recommend above the others?
“Paul,” but mainly because I like Simon Pegg and Nick Frost’s previous outings. I do wish, however, that Edgar Wright had directed this instead of Greg Mottola.
2. Are there any limited release features this week that you would recommend (and why)?
“Win Win” because if you were a fan of “The Station Agent” or “The Visitor,” you might like this as it is also directed by Tom McCarthy.
