With the dismal performance of Minions & Monsters, Moana needs to be cautious of a lower-than-expected weekend. Still, it has the pedigree to do well with only Evil Dead Burn being its competition.

Wesley Lovell: This series hasn’t piqued my interest yet, though that first trailer came close.

Pete Patrick: This week’s cheaply made horror film, no thanks.

Thomas La Tourrette: The trailers are effective, but I am just not that fond of horror films.

Gail Daughtry and the Celebrity Sex Pass

Wesley Lovell: It could be a fun time or it could be a waste. We’ll have to wait and see.

Pete Patrick: This week’s dumb comedy, no thanks either.

Thomas La Tourrette: It looks like an underwhelming comedy, but perhaps could be better than it looks.

Moana

Wesley Lovell: Of all the Disney animated films that needed a live-action adaptation, this was probably the least necessary of them all.

Pete Patrick: Haven’t seen the original animated version, no desire to see the live-action remake.

Thomas La Tourrette: I am not sure why Disney feels the need to remake every one of their animated films, but this looks like one they perhaps should have passed on.
