WIDE RELEASES

THE MARSH KING’S DAUGHTER

PRISCILLA

The Marsh King’s Daughter

Wesley Lovell: I can’t imagine this one being very good. Daisy Ridley has abysmal taste in choosing films to star in.

Peter J. Patrick: Doesn’t look very impressive.

Thomas La Tourrette: There have been many similar films made, and this looks to be no better than any of them.

Priscilla

Wesley Lovell: The whole Elvis phenomenon preceded me and never interested me, so other than this being the latest film by a talented director (Sofia Coppola), I have almost no interest in it.

Peter J. Patrick: I’m not ready for another Elvis movie.

Thomas La Tourrette: Unless it pulls off an unexpected Oscar nomination, I do not have much of a reason to see this.

LIMITED RELEASES

ALL DIRT ROADS TASTE OF SALT

HELEN’S DEAD

RADICAL

RUSTIN

SEIRE

WHAT HAPPENS LATER

The Limited Slate

Wesley Lovell: There’s a lot of terribly uninspiring choices this week. Rustin is the only one I’m actively interested in, but Radical could be good and What Happens Later has wonderful actors in it, so it might be worth something.

Peter J. Patrick: Only the highly anticipated Rustin for me this week.

Thomas La Tourrette: Rustin is the one I am most looking forward to seeing, mainly due to the performance of Colman Domingo. I am not sure if the movie will be that good, but it sounds like he is. What Happens Later looks to be a cute comedy, and it is nice to see Meg Ryan back on screen. Radical looks interesting, sort of To Sir, With Love, though with with greater risks for the students.
