None of this week’s releases seems like the blockbuster type but each have a case that can be made for their winning. Ultimately, The Mummy will tap into the dormant horror audience and likely come out on top but so too will Mother Mary but with the added modernism, it might be able to eke out a small victory.

Wesley Lovell: Nothing about this horror film looks that interesting.

Pete Patrick: Ugly, dumb looking horror movie.

Mother Mary

Wesley Lovell: I’m intrigued by the cast and by the premise.

Pete Patrick: Dreary looking psychobabble. 

Normal

Wesley Lovell: It could be fun but not worth seeing in its theatrical run.

Pete Patrick: The director joked that he made this Fargo rip-off in a week. and it looks it.

Wesley Lovell: None of these hold any appeal for me.

Pete Patrick: Amrun, Ballisitc, and Blue Heron are must-sees, but all except Panda Plan 2 are worth a look.
