WIDE RELEASES
DRACULA THE STRANGERS: CHAPTER 3

Dracula

Wesley Lovell: Luc Besson’s films haven’t been great for a while and this doesn’t look like it does much new.

Pete Patrick: Luc Besson’s romantic take on the legend of Dracula sounds promising.

Thomas La Tourrette: It does not look like a terribly new or interesting version on the Dracula myth.

The Strangers: Chapter 3

Wesley Lovell: I still haven’t seen any of the films in this series even if I am slightly intrigued by them.

Pete Patrick: Probably pure schlock just like the first two.

Thomas La Tourrette: I have not seen the other films in the series and this looks way too violent for me.

LIMITED RELEASES
CALLE MÁLAGA JIMPA KOKUHO MY FATHER’S SHADOW PILLION

THE PRESIDENT’S CAKE SIRÂT

The Limited Slate

Wesley Lovell: A couple of this year’s Oscar contenders might be/are worth checking out but not all of these seem that interesting.

Pete Patrick: All these limited releases seem interesting but only Oscar nominated Sirat is a must-see, with Kokuho and Pillion next in line.

Thomas La Tourrette: Quite a number of these were International feature entries and they look like a pretty good lot. The Japanese Kokuho, Iraq’s The President’s Cake and the British comedy/drama Pillion look to be the best of the bunch.
