Five new wide releases means Spider-Man might have a chance at the top spot again but Practical Magic 2 may prove whether the original film still holds sway this many years later.

The Fix
Wesley Lovell: Looks like another bland actioner. And the less attention the star receives the better.
Pete Patrick: Overused generic title for an overused generic film.
Thomas La Tourrette: It looks like a tired action flick without much to recommend it.
Hope
Wesley Lovell: It appears to be a generic Korean action-horror and that doesn’t appeal to me.
Pete Patrick: Early reviews are not that great.
Thomas La Tourrette: Some reviews are okay for this alien attack film, but it also has enough bad ones that at almost three hours long, it sounds like one to miss.
Practical Magic 2
Wesley Lovell: I haven’t seen the original but so many of my friends love it, that I might consider catching up with it sometime.
Pete Patrick: Sequel to a 28-year-old film I haven’t seen but has an interesting cast.
Thomas La Tourrette: I haven’t seen the original film, but it might be okay with that cast.
Runner
Wesley Lovell: Another forgettable actioner. Not to be confused with the other 2026 film with the same name (adding “The” to the front) that also looks like a forgettable actioner.
Pete Patrick: Another overused generic title for another overused generic film.
Thomas La Tourrette: It looks stupid and way too violent, and one knows they will deliver the liver after all that.
The Uprising
Wesley Lovell: While I do like Andrew Garfield, I don’t care for spending my time in a film like this.
Pete Patrick: Paul Greengrass’ take on Robin Hood with Andrew Garfield and Jamie Bell seems promising.
Thomas La Tourrette: This historical drama might prove interesting, but the trailer certainly did not excite me enough to want to see the film.
