Michael is likely to top the box office as none of the other wide release (or even the now-expanding Mother Mary) have a remote chance of winning the weekend.

WIDE RELEASES
DESERT WARRIOR FUZE MICHAEL OVER YOUR DEAD BODY

Desert Warrior

Wesley Lovell: A mid-tier Lawrence of Arabia doesn’t look that appealing.

Pete Patrick: Shot in 2021 and only releasing now, this 7th Century Arabian tale doesn’t seem like something to rush out to see.

Thomas La Tourrette: It looks like a typical sword and sandals epic without anything much new to say.

Fuze

Wesley Lovell: While I like the actors in general, this premise is utterly bland.

Pete Patrick: This well-reviewed thriller could be sleeper hit.

Thomas La Tourrette: The reviews make it seem like enjoyable fluff, but the mixing of two different genres does not make it look like that good a movie.

Michael

Wesley Lovell: Michael Jackson’s music alone could make it fun.

Pete Patrick: I’ve heard too many negative things about this one.

Thomas La Tourrette: Jaafar Jackson does an impressive job imitating his uncle, but this white washed biopic has bad reviews and not much going for it.

Over Your Dead Body

Wesley Lovell: There is potential that this could be fun horror but the trailers aren’t working.

Pete Patrick: Dark comedy about married couple trying to kill one another is at least something different.

Thomas La Tourrette: It sounds like they were going for a dark comedy about murder, but the comic bits seem to be missing from the trailer.

LIMITED RELEASES
I SWEAR OMAHA

The Limited Slate

Wesley Lovell: Neither of these look that compelling.

Pete Patrick: Both I Swear and Omaha look like something worth your time.

Thomas La Tourrette: The reviews make these limited releases sound like the best films of the week, but tepid trailers do not sell the films. I am interested in seeing Robert Aramayo’s BAFTA winning performance.
