Street Fighter would seem like a sure fire box office leader but Sense and Sensibility might pull in audiences who don’t normally go to the movies.

WIDE RELEASES
CRAWLERS SENSE AND SENSIBILITY STREET FIGHTER WHALEFALL

Crawlers

Wesley Lovell: No thanks. Not into spider horror films.

Pete Patrick: This week’s dumb horror movie.

Thomas La Tourrette: Horror is not my thing and the spiders are just over the top.

Sense and Sensibility

Wesley Lovell: We’ve seen this story before and it doesn’t seem to offer any new observations on the material.

Pete Patrick: We probably don’t need another version of the Jane Austen novel, but this is supposed to be exceptionally well-done

Thomas La Tourrette: It does not sound like the best Jane Austen adaptation, but it should still be enjoyable.

Street Fighter

Wesley Lovell: I may have played the game when I was a kid but nostalgia isn’t enough to get me to see this.

Pete Patrick: Not my cup of tea.

Thomas La Tourrette: It looks like a stupid adaptation of a video game.

Whalefall

Wesley Lovell: This looks rather dull.

Pete Patrick: An interesting idea but the trailer makes the presentation seems more violent than it need be.

Thomas La Tourrette: It might be mindless fun, but it looks silly and just too much.

LIMITED RELEASES
LA BOLA NEGRA CASE 137 CLEAN HANDS

The Limited Slate

Wesley Lovell: A couple of interesting options this weekend.

Pete Patrick: Festival champion La Bola Negra is the one to see but I will probably wait for its Nov 1 debut on Netflix.

Thomas La Tourrette: The likely Oscar nominated La Bola Negra is the must see of the group, even if I do not understand the full concept of the film. The two police procedurals might be worth catching.
